Community Guidelines
Frequency is a music discovery community for sharing songs, daily prompt answers, and listener taste. These guidelines explain what is and is not allowed on the service.
Our Standards
Users are expected to treat others with respect, share authentic music recommendations, and use Frequency in a way that supports discovery rather than abuse, spam, or harassment.
Allowed
- Sharing direct song links from supported music platforms.
- Posting captions that explain why a song fits a prompt, mood, or moment.
- Expressing opinions about music, artists, genres, and sounds without targeting or harassing people.
- Reporting content or accounts that may violate these guidelines.
Not Allowed
- Hate speech, slurs, dehumanizing language, or attacks based on protected characteristics.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, or attempts to shame or target another person.
- Content that encourages self-harm, suicide, violence, dangerous behavior, or illegal activity.
- Sexual content, explicit solicitation, spam, scams, misleading links, or malicious activity.
- Posting private personal information or encouraging others to do so.
- Impersonation, deceptive account information, or attempts to mislead users about identity.
- Uploading, distributing, or requesting copyrighted audio files. Frequency uses links and metadata only.
Enforcement
Frequency may review, limit, hide, or remove posts, captions, usernames, bios, profile photos, and accounts that violate these guidelines or create risk for the community. Serious or repeated violations may result in account restrictions or account removal.
Reports and Blocks
Users can report songs, profiles, and other content from inside the app. Users can also block accounts to limit unwanted interaction. Reports are reviewed by Frequency.
