Information You Provide
- Account details, including email address, username, display name, password authentication information, and age confirmation.
- Profile details, including bio and profile photo if you choose to add them.
- User content, including Frequency answers, Feed posts, captions, reports, and other information you submit.
Information Collected Through Use
- Activity information, including likes, Feed preferences, blocked users, and notification activity.
- Song link metadata, including title, artist, cover art, source, and the original link from Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud.
- Technical information needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
How We Use Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve Frequency.
- Create, verify, secure, and support user accounts.
- Display public profiles, Feed posts, Frequency answers, and music discovery activity.
- Personalize recommendations, discovery, and Feed ranking.
- Detect, review, and respond to reports, policy violations, abuse, spam, and security issues.
- Send service communications such as verification codes, password reset codes, and important account notices.
Public Information
Your display name, username, profile photo, bio, Frequency answers, Feed posts, captions, likes, and public music activity may be visible to other users. Reports, blocks, account credentials, and private account controls are not shown publicly.
Service Providers
Frequency uses service providers for account authentication, data hosting, email delivery, security, and moderation support. Music links may open through Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, or your browser.
Music Links
Frequency does not upload, download, host, or stream copyrighted audio. Users submit direct song links, and Frequency displays metadata from supported music platforms.
Safety and Moderation
We may review content, reports, accounts, and activity to enforce our policies, reduce abuse, protect users, and comply with legal obligations.
Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from Settings. When an account is deleted, Frequency removes the account record from the authentication system. Some records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or legitimate business purposes.
